TREB: Unique housing options abound in GTA
August 18, 2015
One of the great things about living in and around Toronto is the broad range of homes available – from a condo in a densely populated neighbourhood like CityPlace, a home in an established Toronto neighbourhood like Riverdale or Cabbagetown or even a rural property north of the city.
Toronto Real Estate Board president Mark McLean recently wrote a column about the diverse choice of housing in the GTA. “Within the Greater Toronto Area it is possible to live on a farm, by a ski slope, on an island, near soaring cliffs and even down the street from a castle, which only begins to illustrate the seemingly limitless range of our city’s more than two million housing options.”
According to McLean, about 100,000 people move to the GTA every year. That’s one reason our housing market is so hot – they all need a place to live and even with the number of condos coming on the market, the demand isn’t enough to satisfy the supply.
If you’re looking to make a move, whether you want a penthouse with a view of the lake or a single family home in a great school district, we can help!
