Toronto Santa Claus Parade: Saturday, November 17th
November 11, 2013
Ho ho ho! We haven’t had our first snowfall as of this writing (fingers crossed) but the Santa Claus parade will be taking over Toronto streets in a few days! The parade winds its way from Christie Pits to Front and Jarvis, which means two things: unbridled joy for children… and for scrooges, road closures! Bah humbug!
Toronto’s Santa Claus parade has been a tradition for over 100 years. In 1913, Santa was pulled by live reindeer! (Bob Barker wasn’t around to put an end to that!). The parade has a pretty interesting history and I suggest you check it out; it may give you a new perspective on it!
