Toronto Events: Hot Docs from April 24th to May 4th

Hot Docs starts unspooling on April 24th and in addition to some great films, there are a number of guest stars appearing, including George Takei who is profiled in To Be Takei, Alice Cooper, Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri (aka The Iron Sheik to wrestling fans) and (bet you thought you’d never get to see her in person) Miss Cleo!
This year’s highlights include The Immortalists, about two free-thinking biologists on a quest to find the cure for mortality and reverse the aging process forever, Bronx Obama, about a Barack Obama impersonator and 50 Portraits: in an age of social media, where the boundaries between private and public are constantly being redrawn, 50 people come together to reveal some of their most intimate thoughts.
