There are a lot of events happening this September in Toronto that will fill the void left by all those cancelled summer festivals, read below to learn more.
Sick Kids Get Loud: September (1st-30th )

Toronto Air Show (September 4th-5th)
The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is thrilled to announce the show will be returning to the skies over Lake Ontario in 2021!
This took a team effort to achieve this goal and we would like to thank our presenting sponsor Lockheed Martin, the Ontario Government, and the City of Toronto for their tireless hard work in making this year’s show possible!
Our 2021 Show will be held on Saturday, September 4 & Sunday, September 5 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm and we’re excited to showcase the Canadian Forces Snowbirds & CF-18, United States Air Force F35, a P-51 Mustang and more to come.
Caribbean Tales International Film Festival (September 8th-24th )
This year CTFF goes virtual, catch both live events and on-demand film content on CaribbeanTales-TV. 56 Films, 17 Countries. Celebrating 16 Years.
Celebrate the talents of established and emerging filmmakers of Caribbean and African heritage who practice their art across the Caribbean Diaspora worldwide this September at the CaribbeanTales International Film Festival!
Toronto International Film Festival (September 9th-18th)
The 46th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival features 10 days of exceptional international and Canadian cinema with close to 200 films in its Official Selection, unparalleled events featuring acclaimed industry guests, and TIFF’s Industry Conference. Recognized as the world’s largest public film festival, TIFF is bringing the theatrical experience back to life and continues its reputation as both a leader in amplifying under-represented cinematic voices and a bellwether for programming award-winning films from around the globe.
OCADU Artist Alley (September 9th-October 9th)
OCADU’s (Ontario College of Art and Design University) Artist Alley is going virtual! Shop 100+ products from local emerging artists and small businesses owned by OCAD University students & alumni. All proceeds go directly to the artists—we all appreciate your support during the pandemic.

Toronto History Trivia Night (September 15th)
Missing the days of trivia nights? Looking for something fun to do with friends, family, or by yourself?
Join Myseum of Toronto for our first Toronto History Trivia Night fundraising event!
Come show us what you know about the history of Hogtown and get to know some more tidbits about the T-Dot.
Hosted by Quizmaster Steve Hobbs, this virtual event will test your knowledge of all things Toronto and teach you things you never knew about the 6ix.

Toronto Oktoberfest (September 24th-October 11th)
While Canada’s largest Bavarian Festival is taking a different form this year, we are committed to bringing as much of our favourite festival to you through virtual events, small gatherings and some very special contests. Onkel Hans and Tante Frieda are with us in spirit and we encourage everyone to don your Tracht, raise a stein, enjoy delicious Bavarian cuisine from our local restaurant partners, polka around and toast all that we love about Bavarian Culture and our communities.
Fall BeerFest TO (September 24th-25th)
An outdoor, limited capacity celebration of beer featuring your favourite local and international brewers, a mouth-watering selection of food created from Toronto’s most popular restaurants and awesome tunes from some incredibly talented musical artists.
It all goes down on September 24th and 25th at our festival home at Bandshell Park, Exhibition Place.
21st AluCine Latin Film And Media Arts Festival (September 29th-October 2nd )
The 21st edition of the aluCine Latin Film+ Media Arts Festival will take place in SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2021 in the bustling city of Toronto.
aluCine 2021 aims to provide an exclusive showcase for Latin-American directors of independent cinema. Designed to promote Latin-American cinema & media art, the festival’s focus will consist of panel discussions, workshops, and artists talks. aluCine’s goals include empowering creators of all ages to see themselves in a broader context.
