Toronto Events for June! Happy Summer!

Pride Toronto supports our communities in the pursuit of our unequivocal rights to be known, be heard, be understood, be accepted, be respected, and to celebrate the beauty of who we are.
Pride Toronto is happy to announce that planning for a physical Pride Month and Festival Weekend is in full swing for 2022 – The full month of programming will begin on June 1, concluding with the annual Festival Weekend on June 24-25-26, 2022.
Luminato Festival (June 9th-12th)
Long days. Warm nights. It’s summer in Toronto and Luminato is back.
The festival opens with a LIVE in-person takeover in the heart of the city at Yonge-Dundas Square. Free concerts, onstage talks, and an eco-art fair explore themes of sustainability and inclusion through the perspective of artists and art-makers.
Don’t miss a weekend packed with music, conversation, and art from iskwē and Queer Songbook Orchestra featuring Beverly Glenn-Copeland, to David Suzuki, Edward Burtynsky, and many more.
North by Northeast (NXNE) Canada’s most important festival of emerging music returns this June 14 – 19 with over 300 of the world’s best new bands in more than 20 of Toronto’s top live music venues.
The Toronto Comic Arts Festival (June 17th-19th)
Welcome to the biggest, most comprehensive, and inclusive TCAF to date! Following on the success of last year’s extensive range of virtual programming, TCAF will bring together the best of both worlds for 2022, offering one-of-a-kind virtual events alongside a new and improved online marketplace for global visitors, as well as the triumphant return of in-person programming, events and creator exhibition for local attendees.
Toronto International Dragon Boat Festival (June 18th-19th)
From the humble beginning of only 27 teams participating in the first festival back in 1989, the Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival has evolved to a much bigger operation over the past two decades. Organized by the Toronto Chinese Business Association in collaboration with GWN Dragon Boat, the Festival will once again welcome teams to Center Island, Toronto Islands.
Annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show (June 19th)
The Bloor-Yorkville area, Toronto’s destination for high-end boutiques, restaurants and hotels will once again play host to the 12th Annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show on Father’s Day, June 19, 2022. This spectacular red-carpet event will feature a variety of exotic cars, their drivers, and automobile celebrities while showing off the very best of fashion, food, wellness and culture from the Bloor-Yorkville BIA, one of the most luxurious shopping destinations in North America.
Toronto Beaches Rib And Beer Festival (June 24th-26th)
The Toronto Beaches Rib & Beer festival is back for 2022.
You’re in for a weekend full of food, fun and entertainment. This year there is a new format with Friday night being Country night, Saturday is Rock the Park and Sunday is a Music Mashup and Ribs.
TD Toronto International Jazz Festival (June 24th-July 3rd)
Enjoy the smooth sounds of some amazing jazz musicians all week long, headlined by Smokey Robinson and many amazing musicians.
TD Taste of Asia (June 24th-26th)
Taste of Asia was first introduced in 2003 during the SARS outbreak with a mandate of boosting the local economy. The first Taste of Asia festival also provided a platform for the community to promote the multicultural mosaic of Canada and create harmony between various cultural groups through an event that fostered mutual respect and co-operation. The annual multicultural event is hosted by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM), and the Association of Progressive Muslims of Canada (APMC).
