The most enchanting of Niagara Falls attractions, the 38th annual Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights is Canada’s largest FREE outdoor light festival. Experience the spectacular displays with 3 million lights along the Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Islands and across Niagara Falls.
Throughout the pandemic, the City has remained committed to providing people with safe opportunities for recreation. To help people stay active this winter season, the City is highlighting its offering of new and enhanced exercise-based recreation activities in parks locations across Toronto.
The City continues to urge people to stay at home as much as possible but recognizes public health officials have encouraged people to get exercise outside on their own and with members of their household.
The Welcome T.O. Winter plan provides safe ways for people to get outside in Toronto’s parks, including at our 54 artificial ice rinks and five golf courses.

Since 1905, the Santa Claus Parade has kicked off the Christmas season, first in Toronto, then for the whole country as it has grown in popularity and importance throughout the years. The Parade brings people together, regardless of their background, celebrating hope, family and love. It’s part of the fabric of our community.
Every year we bring hundreds of thousands of people on the streets of Toronto, and millions more watching at home, come together to celebrate this joyous season together. We’ve been doing so uninterrupted for 116 years, and that’s exactly what we were planning to do again this year, bring Santa’s magic back to town.
Our plans, like so many of yours, have changed, but we will still be with you to celebrate the holidays and bring Santa’s magic to Canada.
Join us on Saturday, December 5th @ 7pm on CTV & CTV2 for The Original Santa Claus Parade.
Get in the holiday spirit and enjoy a classic movie from the safety of your car as The Muppets Christmas Carol comes to the big screen in Ontario Place. Enjoy a night out with the family and laughs with a holiday classic.
