Toronto Events for December: Holiday Markets, the Nutcracker and More!

Aurora Winter Festival at Ontario Place (November 22nd– January 5th)
Just in time for the festive season, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is transforming the Ontario Place West Island into a spectacular celebration of light and adventure as the 2019 Aurora Winter Festival comes to life for a second consecutive year. Tickets are now on sale now for the highly-anticipated festival taking place from Friday, November 22, 2019 through to Sunday, January 5, 2020. This magical winter wonderland features four distinct mystical worlds for guests to explore, as well as enchanting characters, stunning light installations, fabulous food experiences, marketplaces, amusement rides and more.
A Christmas Carol ( November 30th– December 22nd)
The Three Ships Collective’s immersive and award-winning smash-hit adaptation of A Christmas Carol is back! Set in the historic and picturesque Campbell House Museum, this theatrical production invites audience members to step into the world of Victorian England and follow flinty miser Ebenezer Scrooge on his ghostly journey of redemption. A mirthful medley of magic, music, and the macabre, A Christmas Carol is the perfect holiday experience!
Fan Expo Holiday Market (December 7th)
A 1-day holiday shopping extravaganza and festive fandom celebration awaits at the FAN EXPO Holiday Market on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Prepare for a day of good cheer, comic guests, costumes, holiday fun with Stormtroopers, crafts and so much more. A perfect outing for the whole family!
Fans who bring non-perishable food items to donate will receive a 25th anniversary FAN EXPO Canada t-shirt and bag (while supplies last).

The Toronto Christmas Market (November 14th – 22nd )
Toronto Christmas Market is back to the Distillery District!
From November 14 to December 22, open everyday except Mondays, one of the best Christmas Markets in the world features hundreds of handcrafted products, mulled wine, beer and hospitality gardens, creating the holiday atmosphere.
Admission is free on weekdays and $6 on weekends starting at 5PM on Fridays.
Toronto Vegan Christmas Market (December 14th)
Open to the general public, the Vegan Christmas Market features a curated group of vendors offering a wide range of vegan products. All made without animal exploitation, attendees will find among these products pastries, chocolate treats, cosmetic products, artisanal soaps, clothing, and more.
The Vegan Christmas Market was created to encourage the public to shop in a manner that underlines the essence of the Holidays, which is a celebration of peace, love and compassion for all beings, humans as well as animals.
The 2019 Vegan Christmas Market will take place in Toronto, Montreal and New York.
Casa Loma A Nutcracker Christmas (December 15th – 30th)
Explore the holiday magic of Casa Loma at night! Wander through the dazzling lighting display in the gardens.
This December join us to celebrate and take part in the holiday magic at Casa Loma during A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle.
Wander through the dazzling lighting display in the gardens and experience all of Casa Loma’s holiday festivities as well as our outdoor holiday Christmas Market and performances by the Casa Loma Holiday Orchestra.
Christmas Glow (December 18th)

Our playgrounds and interactive features will entertain the kids for hours, while Glow’s illuminated sculptures are the perfect backdrop for selfies and holiday family photos.

Solaris Winter Music Festival (December 26th-27th)
Toronto’s largest winter music festival Solaris is back inside REBEL on December 26th & 27th with a massive lineup for its 2019 edition. Deadmau5 returns to his hometown with his mau5trap crew – featuring Seven Lions, No Mana, Qrion, Bentley Dean and No Fone – on December 26th for an epic first day of the festival.
Trance legends and Toronto favourites Above & Beyond close out the last day on December 27th, with rising producer i_O joining them inside the Main Room. NOIR will be host to returning DJ to the festival and bad ass bass producer Borgore.
New Year’s Eve at Nathan Phillips Square (December 31st)
Toronto’s annual New Year Eve’s celebration featuring DJ skating parties, live musical performances and spectacular fireworks. Admission is free to this all-ages, alcohol-free event.
