FITC Toronto (April 11th-13th)
FITC Toronto is a professional celebration of the best the world has to offer for design, digital development, media and innovation in creative technologies – three days that unite and transform the industry.

Cirque Du Soleil : Kurios (April 15th- May 23rd)
Step into the curio cabinet of an ambitious inventor who defies the laws of time, space and dimension in order to reinvent everything around him. Suddenly, the visible becomes invisible, perspectives are transformed, and the world is literally turned upside down.
In an alternate yet familiar past, in a place where wonders abound for those who trust their imagination, a Seeker discovers that in order to glimpse the marvels that lie just below the surface, we must first learn to close our eyes.
Easter and other holidays at this time of year are about celebrating the coming of Spring. This year, it couldn’t come at a better time as people come out of a very long winter to a Spring of warmth, greenery, bright flowers and a return to spending time with family and friends. To help people celebrate, a new Spring show comes to the Markham Fairgrounds from April 15-18, 2022.
Easter Fun Fest is an amazing outdoor event with a giant 15-foot high plush bunny and many other great photo ops. There are kiddy midway rides, a range of inflatable including slides, obstacles and bouncy castles, fun games, awesome food, children’s entertainment, interactive activities and a train ride. All this family fun is included in the early bird admission price of $20 per person or $25 per person at the door. Children 23 months and under get free grounds admission. Parking is free while food merchants, vendors and pony rides are an extra charge.
Hot Docs Festival (April 28th-May 8th)
Hot Docs was founded in 1993 by the Documentary Organization of Canada (formerly the Canadian Independent Film Caucus), a national association of independent documentary filmmakers. In 1996, Hot Docs became a separately incorporated organization with a mandate to showcase and support the work of Canadian and international documentary filmmakers and to promote excellence in documentary production.
Each year, Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival—North America’s largest doc festival, conference and market—presents over 200 cutting edge films from around the world.
Year round, Hot Docs supports the Canadian and international industry with professional development programs and a multi-million-dollar production fund portfolio, and fosters education through documentaries with its popular free program Docs For Schools.
This year you can enjoy films in person and streaming at home!
The Toronto Coin Expo (April 29th-30th)
Join us at the Toronto Coin Expo, Canada’s premier coin and banknote show and auction, located in downtown Toronto. Featuring 50+ internationally renowned coin and banknote dealers tables, representing Canada, United States, and the World of collectable currencies. Filipino Restaurant Month (All April)
Get ready to enjoy some delicious food all month and maybe take a step outside of your comfort zone. For the first time ever, restaurants across Canada are celebrating Filipino Restaurant Month, and many spots in Toronto will have prix fixe menus for the occasion.
Nine restaurants in total are participating in Toronto in various neighbourhoods around the city. Do a little exploring and try someplace new this month for date night at these delicious restaurants.
Spring Hikes Throughout Toronto
What better way to enjoy the changing of the seasons and finally say goodbye to that cold weather than with a gorgeous Spring hike. From The Beltline Trail to the Don River Parkway there are a number of spaces you can get out and explore while taking in the warm weather.

The spring season is officially here, and that means people are counting down the days until High Park’s cherry blossoms bloom. It may be too soon for a prediction of when they will bloom with the unexpected cold that we had at the beginning of the year, but we can hope for a late April or May bloom.
