The Ultimate Food-Trend Power Ranking of 2013
January 2, 2014
When you think about the great things happening in the city of Toronto, the food scene is close to the top of the list. Whether it’s great markets like Kensington or St. Lawrence or all the artisans creating small batches of amazing cheese, bread or beer, Toronto is the perfect place for foodies to be.
Here’s a comprehensive look at what was popular on in 2013, plus a list of notable restaurants that closed (RIP Amuse Bouche!). Not surprisingly, the cronut burger tops the list. Other food news: a number of large restaurants opened – Drake 150 is 6000 square feet, the Amsterdam Brew House is 14000 square feet and Cibo Wine Bar has 8000 square feet at King and Brant.
