TCHC halts sale of Beach cottage listed at $1.375M

The Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) has been in the news over the past few months because it is selling off some of their holdings, which include homes in some of Toronto’s more popular neighbourhoods. Most recently, the TCHC made the news because the home for sale on Balsam Avenue sits on a parcel of land that’s actually zoned for parkland. The home was originally listed for $1.375M but there were three buyers who put in offers before the listing was taken off the market. As one agent put it, “Somebody could pay $1.4 million and end up with a nice place to have a picnic.”
