Lauren Bacall’s New York City Apartment

Lauren Bacall’s apartment in the historic Dakota building in Manhattan is up for sale at a cool $26 million. However, that may be negotiable as it was reportedly appraised for just $9 million. HGTV published a series of photos of the apartment, although the photos in the original listing look a lot cleaner. Have a peek at the HGTV post.
The apartment has three bedrooms and three and a half baths, and has the grandeur you’d expect from a legend. A couple of things to note: you’ll have to have a minimum of 50% for a down payment, maintenance alone is over $11,000 a month and the building is a co-op, which means that you’ll have to be approved by the board before you can make your purchase.
