February Newsletter: Where to Buy a House 2018 – Liberty Village Before the Condos – Romantic Tables For Two
February 8, 2018
Welcome to my February email newsletter!
Not surprisingly, there was a bit of a wonky start to the Toronto real estate market. At this time last year, there was no snow on the ground and the unprecedented spring frenzy was about to start. This year, with the new mortgage qualification rules and raising interest rates, the market is still strong but a titch unpredictable. One glaring bright spot is that there are some exciting buying opportunities in the single family home sector; the condo market continues to soar but homes sales have leveled off somewhat. You’ll find full market news below.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner – if you haven’t made a reservation yet, you’ll find a list of the city’s most romantic tables for two. If you’re single, Dufflet offers two-for-one cake slices on Wednesdays at both their Queen West and Uptown locations. I also have a recent blog post I wrote about the advantages of completing a home inspection before listing your home for sale, a great photo essay from BlogTO showing what Liberty Village looked like before the condos, and don’t miss my two featured listings. One is a terrific investment opportunity, the other a lease in the Distillery District!
