December Newsletter: Best Desserts in Every TO Neighbourhood – Local Gift Ideas – Toronto Events for December 2021 – What’s *Really* Happening in the Market
December 6, 2021
The sights and sounds of the holiday season are all around us; holiday carols are ringing, seasonal window displays are in all the stores and more people than ever seem to be lighting up their homes and balconies. Truthfully, we can all use a little joy right now (Omicron notwithstanding). I hope you are able to spend some time with family and friends this year during this holiday season!
As winter returns to Toronto, the city is beginning to transform with markets and some other terrific events. A list of December events is below in my monthly blog.
If you’re looking for local gifts, check out Toronto’s First Post Office! They have a wide range of TO-themed items, including gift cards, tote bags and of course, stamps.
Home sales in November were up by 3.3% compared to 2020, despite the number of new listings being down by 13.2%. This lack of supply resulted in significant price increases across the board. The average price for a detached home in Toronto is now $1,807,983, a new record. As well, the average price of semi was up by 23.4% compared to November 2020. Of course, this varies by neighbourhood and even street – if you’re curious about what your home is worth, let’s talk!
Lastly, scroll all the way down to see 4 very special properties I’m representing for sale and rent…they will blow your Xmas stockings off!
